Internal sales/ project engineer
Job description:

We are looking for a Internal sales/ project engineer  for our Derby office in UK, reporting to the Commercial manager.
This position supports the UK & ROW sales team providing quotations, interpreting customer’s technical requirements from enquires, providing outline proposals, quotations and tender responses.

Responsibilities

• to provide support for the UK & ROW territories assisting them in maximising the Sales potential
• to interpret customer technical enquiries and requirements
• to prepare project work and tender responses as required
• to provide outline proposals for customer enquiries
• to prepare technical quotations in response to customers’ specific requirements
• to analyse data and produce reports showing basic sales trends
• to interact with engineering departments on customer enquiries

Requirements

• have excellent IT skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access database and Outlook essential
• previous Proposal Engineering / Project Engineering experience is an advantage
• commercial engineering background would be an advantage
• must have a flexible working practice and be able to work using their own initiative or as part of a small team
• have a good telephone manner
• HNC/HND/Degree in engineering desirable
