Pre sales application engineer
Reporting to the Applications Manager

This position supports the UK & ROW sales team presenting demonstrations to customers, training and supporting our ROW agents and distributors, understanding of applying Metrology solutions within the Automotive and Aerospace industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Presenting demonstrations to all potential UK and ROW customers, both at Metris UK and on customers’ sites
  • Setting up Metris products at UK and ROW exhibitions and providing demonstrations of these products during the exhibition
  • Supporting and training all ROW agents and distributors
  • Presenting product launches and providing training for distributors and sales staff
  • Full understanding of applying Metrology solutions within the Automotive and Aerospace industries

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of Optical / Laser measuring products, particularly in the field of  large volume metrology
  • Experience of any Metris products would be an advantage but not essential
  • Must have a flexible working practice and be willing to travel all over the world at short notice spending a minimum of 15 weeks abroad
  • Must be able to work using there own initiative or as part of a team, including working closely with salesmen/ agents/ distributors
  • Have a good presentation and communication skills
  • Good engineering knowledge essential
